Glad to meet you, hope you guess my name. OK, enough playing. I'm Jim, I'm a writer I've written a couple of stories that have appeared in Sonar4 The Softest Metal & Are You Safe? Both a look at futures that have repercussions.

I also write the science fiction reviews for Sonar4, so I'd be glad to discuss any of the books I review.

I've been reading science fiction since I was about 15 which was more than 15 years ago. I really enjoy exploring the possibilities the genre offers because I think thats all a writer is about: ideas. I try to offer the perspectives I find of this & other worlds. Most of my fiction is labeled literary fiction because it doesn't deal with fantastic worlds, but everything a writer writes is an alternate history. I create worlds that seem to resemble this one but they're creatures of my devise & they don't exist or I wouldn't need to write the. Or maybe they're attempts to change the world, if only mine.

You can find me at www.jymsbooks.com &/or www.myspace.com/jymsbooks on facebook too.

Hi!

I'm Heather, I'm nineteen and I'm studying for a degree in Film and TV Production at university near Liverpool in the UK. Although I've never really got into horror, I've been a sci-fi fan since before I was born. One of my earliest memories is coming out of the cinema having seen Star Wars: A New Hope when it got released in 1997, and being so amazed, I went home and made a batman style utility belt to keep my imaginary lightsaber in. I cried when the ewok died in Return of the Jedi.

I've just started reviewing sci-fi books, novellas, short story collections and movies here on Sonar4, and my first review is going to be in the March 2009 issue.

Being the struggling student that I am, I'm always on the look out for movie related work experience, paid or unpaid, to put on my CV. I'm hard working, I don't complain about the cold during night shoots, and I make a fantastic cup of tea, so if you or anybody you know needs a spare pair of hands on their productions, drop me a line at heather.greig@hotmail.com

Live long and prosper!

Hi Heather!
It's one of those night shoots that Keanu Reeves thinks I was making fun of him!

Hi, everyone!
My name's Bob, and I enjoy writing short horror and sci-fi stories.  One of my stories, "Orbiting Saturn", is due to appear in the March issue.  It's kind of a combination of horror and sci-fi.  Hope you like it!

Hello everyone.
My name is Keith and I am a business owner and a New Yorker and a lifetime horror and science fiction fan. Fan is actually putting it way to lightly. I am obsessed with the genres.

When I was a kid in the 80's living in Florida my friend Lance and I would go to Popcorn Video in Talahassee and start with the letter A and rent every single horror flick in the store. It took us a couple of years of spending the night at his house but we got through to Z ( I think it was Zombie Island Massacre).

My parents had no idea what I was doing and if they had at the time I would have been in trouble. They are a bit on the conservative side. A bit? Alot.

Wine is my industry and I have been writing about it for six years now. I saw Drag Me To Hell and was so inspired (The Raimi's are a heroes of mine) that I thought to myself, self, you should write this stuff.

I have seen and read enough exposure that I felt I could start writintg down all the dark ideas of terror and madness in my wacky little noggin.
Those ideas have been jotted down and are no coming to life on the page...hopefully.

I hope to be a part of this community and hope that my stories are fun to read and instill fear and terror in the minds many. Thanks for having me.

Hi Keith,
& welcome! Going through the horror section a-z is a good way to be familiar with any genre! Don't think I could take many zombies though. Looking forward to reading what you have & hope you enjoy Sonar4!

Hi Jim,

When I figure it out, I'll put up a picture. HaHa. I'm a little slow.

Suzie,
Me too! It takes me a dogs age to figure computer stuff, it's never like it was on Star Trek which is most of my formal computer training!

HaHa!!! That was funny Jim. Star Trek really messed us up, didn't it? Freakin' you can't just talk to inanimate objects and they do what you want, although it is fun trying especially in public. HaHa!
